Mr. James Saygbeh Akoi Sr.

It is with deep sorrow that the Akoi family announces the home-going of their husband, son, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend, Mr. James Saygbeh Akoi Sr. Fondly known as “Jimmy,” James Akoi Sr. was born to the late James Bobokollie Akoi and the late Ma Sonnie Korlu Akoi on November 2, 1955 on Camp Johnson Road, in Monrovia, Liberia.
James started his early elementary and junior high education in Voinjama Lofa county, Liberia. He later graduated from Tubman High school. Eager to advance his education, Mr. Akoi travelled to the United States to attend Morgan State University in January 1978. He worked at Latos Dental laboratories for more than a decade. After being sick for almost 15 years, James departed from this earth on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 10:22pm in Germantown, Maryland, USA. He was 61 years old.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his beloved wife of 39 years, Mrs. Kpanah Akoi; 4 sons- James Saygbeh Akoi, Jr., Johnathan Akoi, Jeremiah Akoi, and Joshua Akoi; 12 grandchildren, several brothers and sisters and a host of aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends in the United States, Canada and Liberia.
