The changing face of Monrovia

In 2006, when I made the decision to return to Liberia to live, I got many questions from family and friends who wanted to know why was I making such a major move at that point in my life and career. They were concern about my decision and it's effects on my life, and although the jury is still out, I can safely say that the number one reason I wanted to come home which was to "witness the reconstruction of Liberia" is being realized.

In the 3 years since moving home to Liberia, I have witness many changes especially in respect to developmental and infrastructure changes, along Tubman Blvd. in Sinkor and on the Robertsfield Highway.

From 1st Street in Sinkor all the way pass Red Light, things are changing. New building projects are starting up and entire communities are surfacing along the Robertsfield Highway. My goal with this series of pictures is to show you the changes that are underway and pictures of things to come.

More shots of Tubman Blvd., in Sinkor. The renovation to the road has improved the quality of the ride.

A commercial building going up on Tubman Blvd. Opposite Exclusive Super Store in Sinkor

My favorite flower shop on Tubman Blvd. They have great plants for your garden and flower beds.

Good job Cyrus!

Lucky Pharmacy - 24 Hrs. of Dedicated Service to the Nation.

Liberia's first 24 hours pharmacy. It is wonderful to be able to buy medicine at 2:00 am, after all malaria and typhoid fever do not care what time of the day or night it is when they attack. What a God sent Lucky Pharmacy is to the residents of Monrovia.

Need wood for your building project? Try Plank field on Tubman Blvd. in Sinkor

The area was cleaned up by MCC in 2009. Good job Mary Broh, Plank field is less clutter and now look so much better
